Job responsibilities/duties

ARMO Technical Development is looking for an individual experienced in protein purification, and characterization. He/she will be responsible to purify, synthesize, and characterize therapeutic candidate proteins, protein conjugates and monoclonal antibodies to support the preclinical development of biopharmaceutical programs in immune-oncology. This position requires the ability to independently execute protein purification needed for ARMO’s lead discovery, pre-clinical studies and development programs. The position responsibilities include the development of bench scale protein purification and conjugation methods, to characterize and to supply materials for continuing R&D studies.  He/she will be expected to design, conduct experiments and maintain detailed records. The successful candidate will be expected to be hands on in the lab, to purify and characterize proteins.  He/she will have demonstrated technical expertise in the laboratory, independently responsible for experimental/project execution. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast-paced environment in the dynamic field of immuno-oncology

Required Skills:

Solid experience in all aspects of protein purification including process from microbial and mammalian production organisms.

Deep and broad knowledge of protein analytical technology including chromatographic methods such as HPLC (SEC, IEX, RP, and IEF) and electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE, Western Blots)

Experience in high-throughput protein and antibody purification platforms to support antibody discovery, optimization, and technology development.

Experience with automated protein purification techniques using GE’s AKTA systems and Unicorn software

Demonstrated knowledge of protein conjugation technologies, production, purification, characterization, HPLC method development, analytical method development and downstream process methodology.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and multitask.

Experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry
