Description:

Represents Global Clinical Operations (GCO) on the senior level cross sponsor/cross functional teams and is accountable for working with the BMS functions and study teams on the collaboration studies and optimizing the various operational models in partnership with the collaborating organization. Addresses operational issues and provides clear direction to BMS study teams and the collaborating organization's team to ensure quality and enable efficiencies and speed in clinical trial execution.

Responsibilities:

• Provides operational oversight of BMS/collaborating organization studies and addresses issues and risks. Works with BMS and ONO functions to identify gaps and resolve issues.

• Implements operational consistency across collaboration protocols where possible

• Identifies critical areas where efficiencies will improve the collaboration and determines solutions

• Supports operational standardization for new business models to prepare for future similar situations

• Escalates issues/proposals to BMS/ONO Joint Development Team/Committee and may be a member of the Team/Committee

• Works with BMS and ONO operations teams to align on practices and communication including:

o education of team members on the collaboration with a Japanese partner

o sharing Lessons Learned and ensuring consistency across Indication Operations Teams

• Collaborates directly with BMS functions for regional and global alignment on process and issue resolution

• Optimizes the CRO model where ONO participates in BMS outsourced studies and identifies roles and responsibilities for the various operational models

• Participates in registrational submission deliverables involving ONO

• Collaborates with BMS functional areas to streamline processes where BMS overlaps or intersects with ONO

• Prepares informational materials and runs regular meetings with BMS functions (including with Protocol Managers, Operations Leads) and ONO Operations Team.

Requirements:

• Candidate must have a minimum of a BA or BS Degree with approximately 8-10 yrs. of experience in clinical drug development.

• Strong leadership competencies and influencing skills with senior leaders and cross functional leaders.

• Effective oral and written communication skills to influence, inform and guide a large scale global operational team.

• Broad clinical operational experience and strong project management skills.

• Proven teambuilding skills and ability to foster partnerships across projects and multidisciplinary teams.
