Using scientific expertise and program management skills in drug discovery and/or R&D technology development, the Program Manager, R&D Technologies & Platform Operations plans and executes the operational aspects of multiple cross functional discovery and R&D technology development initiatives in order to achieve key program objectives.

• Drug and/or Technology Discovery & Development: Using knowledge in scientific method and drug discovery and/or R&D technology development, steers and enables cross-functional teams to achieve key program objectives. In collaboration with other senior group members, formulates criteria for advancing the program to the next key milestone.
• Team Management: Ensures effective, accurate, appropriate and timely communication within the cross functional team. Serves as the primary point of contact within and outside the team, and provides progress updates to management on the program.
• Problem Solving: Proactively identifies issues and provides general guidance to resolve program and team challenges. Can develop practical solutions to achieve program productivity and quality goals and objectives.
• Planning, Tracking & Project Reporting: Develops, maintains and updates integrated project/program plans, and ensures alignment of these plans across functions and with team leadership. Maintains knowledge of current status, milestones, issues and key data for assigned programs and serves as the conduit of information and updates. Provides input and general guidance to the team for presentations and updates to management and outside collaborators where applicable.
• Process and Data Management: Manages and updates data, information and tools to track project/program progress through key milestones (e.g. SharePoint).

• The ideal candidate has excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Works effectively with and engages equally with junior and senior-level team members as well as management, both within and outside the company. Learns on the fly and is able to handle ambiguity and work independently to solve problems. Comfortably navigates challenges, negotiates conflicts and resolves problems with tact, diplomacy and composure.
• BS / MS / PhD with a minimum of 6 years of relevant progressive project / program management experience in Drug Discovery and/or R&D Technology Development. Advanced degree (e.g. PhD or MS plus MBA) preferred.
