Position Summary

Summary: Responsible for developing/executing and leading solution architecture strategies and delivering detailed designs that align and support IOPS functional systems and programs. Areas of focus include advancing/standardizing IOPS technology platforms used to support custom/COTS apps, data analytic and mobile solutions. She/he will leverage expertise GxP, Biopharmaceutical Mfg. to support delivery of IOPS strategic programs, and agile technology solutions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
• Defines/own and leads detailed architectures for IOPS applications, analytics, BI, Mobile, COTS.
• Designs end to end solution components, integration, storage, processing, analytics, etc.
• Maintains awareness of emerging platform technologies, analytics, integration, cloud, etc.
• Consults within IOPS, leads, recommends aligned solution design pattern across functional areas.
• Represents IOPS at Corporate IT solution design engineering (SDE) governance board.
• Ensures technology investments are maximized, utilize standard tools, services.
• Leads agile development/execution of pilots advancing new/existing platform/solution capabilities.
• Leads strategic initiatives, i.e., creating data catalogue, predictive/learning services.
• Performs architecture reviews for new/existing solutions, drives a connected data culture.
• Contributes to data governance, stewardship, usage, security guidelines.
• Creates repeatable design templates, drives standardization, reduces complexity.
• Assists with solution delivery and operational teams as required; serves as an escalation point.

Knowledge and Skills:
• Hands on “do-er” passion to try, evaluate, improve technology platforms and solutions
• Demonstrated knowledge of meta data, data catalog, integration, visualization tools
• Knowledge of data modeling, data warehouse, and supporting technologies
• Knowledge of SQL, Python, and data access, integration technologies
• Knowledge of distributed data architectures, cloud, on premise
• Knowledge of data lake technologies, structured, unstructured data
• Approachable, ability to communicate complex solutions in a non-technical manner at all levels
• Quality focused with strong attention to detail, reliability, governance, a bias for simple designs
Education and Experience:
• BS/BA degree required; Computer Science, Engineering, or Math preferred
• Requires 8+ years of experience architecting solutions to meet complex requirements/analysis
• Experience delivering agile analytic solutions, iterative development
• Experience in Biopharma or Pharma Manufacturing Industry; GxP, GMP desirable
• Demonstrated hands on experience designing data warehouse, mart, analytic solutions
