Ripple is looking for an enthusiastic Technician to join our small and awesome Pilot Plant crew. We are looking for someone who can support R&D projects by executing lab and pilot scale experiments, and accurately and reliably record resulting data and observations.  Safe operation and workplace practices are critical.  The successful candidate will be a true team player and someone who is willing (and excited) to jump in and do it all—from running processes, to driving forklifts, to cleaning equipment… and everything in between!

ADDITONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2-5 years’ experience with solid-liquid separation equipment at the pilot or manufacturing scale
  • Laboratory experience
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
  • Computer skills (MS office suite)

  • Understanding of the underlying chemistry in biochemical separations
  • Experience in optimizing cleaning and sanitization processes
  • Experience in the design and/or implementation of an equipment maintenance program
  • Experience in macromolecule (protein, carbohydrates, etc.) analysis

You will need solid communication skills, and the ability to communicate your work to scientists (with and without food backgrounds) and business people alike.  Finally, you need to be ready to roll-up your sleeves and do whatever needs to be done, because this is the early stage of a start-up.
