Your tasks and responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of this role, Manager Financial Planning Analysis, are to:

  • Align with the Division Finance Business Partner's, Research & Development Controlling, Product Supply Controlling, and International Controlling;
  • Lead frequent discussions, engage in presentations, and conduct meetings;
  • Develop and maintain Financial Schedules;
  • Be accountable for US Platform P&L's for budget, forecast and actuals by: proactively reviewing deviations, providing annotations, identifying risks & opportunities, interpreting EBIT Impacts, developing and delivering Presentations, Bridges, Waterfall charts and providing meaningful insights to CFO, VP of Controlling, Division Heads, Division Finance BP's, R&D and PS Controlling;
  • Develop and present results to Division BP's, R&D Controlling, PS Controlling and Senior Finance personnel;
  • Work in close liaison with International Controlling for US Platform P&L including Bridges, Presentations, annotations, insights, and adhoc requests;
  • Collaborate with the Manager Platform Consolidation on deliverables including Planning Calendars, Bridges, annotations, Communication Plans for Stakeholders, Risk and Opportunities, and Recommendations to ensure alignment of Platform Cost Center and P&L's;
  • Provide Value Flow and Org Unit/Respo expertise;
  • Coordinate with Local Business Services Controlling to provide consolidated Platform P&L's;
  • Provide expertise in the Financial Systems including SAP, Data One, and other required Bayer Finance Systems;
  • Design and interpret Cost Center Reports and P&L's for Actuals, Forecast, Budgets and Analysis, and researching expenses;

Required Qualifications:
  • BS/BA in Accounting/Business with a minimum of 10 years of overall accounting and/or controlling experience or MBA +8 years' experience providing Functional Controlling expertise in managing and reporting financial commitments;
  • High Degree of flexibility to manage multiple priorities, and to take on adhoc projects while being skilled in prioritizing workload with competing/short deadlines;
  • Ability to extract, validate and analyze data from multiple sources;
  • Ability to Present Data to Executives and Senior Management;
  • Ability to make decisions with minimal oversight;
  • Exceptional collaboration, communication and relationship building skills;
  • Experience interacting with and presenting to all levels of the organization;
  • Demonstrates experience with financial planning and reporting systems and databases;
  • Willing to travel 10%.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • MBA;
  • Experience with Consolidation and Allocations;
  • Experience with Excel, Pivot Tables, PowerPoint, SAP, Data One, Hyperion, and business warehouse tools.
