Reporting to the VP Operations this position will work with finance and the commercial organization to develop forecasts that will be used for production planning purposes. The position will translate these forecasts into purchase orders that will be placed with Depomed's Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMO's). In the case on one product will also work closely with our commercial agent for the product when developing forecasts and arranging logistics. This position will negotiate favorable terms with logistics providers and arrange logistical needs for both commercial and clinical (when needed) products. The position will pro-actively seek out ways to improve the movement of products. At all times the supply chain area must operate in accordance with existing laws and guidelines. This position will also be responsible for the development, updates and monitoring of all SOP's related to supply chain.

• Lead internal S&OP meetings with finance and commercial partners as well as with external commercializing partners
• Work with finance within the AX Dynamics system to monitor deliveries of products
• Work with finance in a timely manner to translate forecasts into purchase orders and ensure that these are provided to the companies and CMO's. Ensure all orders are tracked and closed as appropriate.
• Arrange transport of finished product, API and when required, clinical supplies from CMO to required destinations
• Ensure all vendors operate in an efficient and compliant manner including performing audits in a timely manner
• Creatively seek out ways to improve the supply chain process
• Ensure that supply chain operates within the context of our contractual obligations
• Work closely with Director of Contract Manufacturing for product input into the supply chain as well as with the Director of Quality to ensure back end release of product
• Provide expertise with packaging technologies
• Manage the serialization of products meeting all regulatory needs and requirements
• Process yearly renewal of USDA permits for Zipsor importation
• Understand the operations of our 3rd party distributor


• College diploma or undergraduate degree ideally with an emphasis on supply chain or related area
• Minimum of 2-4+ years' experience in supply chain or a related area.
• Ideally some experience in the pharmaceutical industry
• Experience working in an environment with high use of CMO's
• Must be able to work cross functionally with internal partners but also collaborate with external CMO's and related vendors
• Strong Excel and Power Point skills
• Knowledge of or ability to learn about importation rules and regulations
• Knowledge of product serialization preferred but not required
• Experience facilitating forecasting meetings
• Must have knowledge of required paperwork including controlled substances.
