JOB SUMMARY
HR Coordinator will provide administrative and operational support to the Human Resources team & company in the areas of HRIS, employee records and files, benefits and reception. The HR Operations Coordinator is responsible for maintaining and updating HR records & personnel files, managing on-boarding and off-boarding preparations and covering the front desk. Also responsible for supporting the recruitment process, administering employee programs, and processing various forms related to documenting Human Resources activities such as new-hire, change-of-status, performance evaluations, terminations, etc. May perform other general administrative support to the department as needed.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
• Maintains HR records and employee filing.
• Serves as first point of contact to callers and provides front desk support as needed.
• Tracks and maintains contingent workforce data.
• Assists with HR data entry into the HRIS system closely working with Sr HR Operations & Comp Analyst.
• Assists with monthly benefits billing process partnering with the benefits broker and answers basic benefits questions..
• Prepares and updates company organizational charts, HR documents and other special reports as required.
• Processes E-Verify and coordinates pre-employment background checks, drug testing and DMV checks.
• Prepares new hire personnel folders, onboarding packages, and tracks return of all new hire paperwork.
• Prepares exit paperwork for employee terminations.
• Provides Employment Verifications/Certification of Status letters to employees.
• Sends HR email notifications to distribution lists (new hire, transfer and termination).
• Administers service awards, corporate recognition, employee referral and educational reimbursement programs.
• Performs vendor credentialing (for sales employees as needed).
• Assists with planning, coordinating and setting up employee activities and company events.
• Acts as the Ergonomic Coordinator for the company.
• Responds to EDD claims from terminated employees.
• Provides administrative support for HR including, but not limited to, maintaining calendars, ordering supplies, etc.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Associates degree or equivalent is required. Bachelor degree in Human Resources or related field is preferred.
• Minimum of two years' experience is required, preferably in a human resources environment. Previous experience with an HRIS database is a plus.
