The Director of Cyber Operations will orchestrate the team and processes to develop cyber threat intelligence, hunt for threats and compromises, manage gaps and vulnerabilities, and respond to cybersecurity incidents. This leader will manage a mixed environment of internal resources and third-parties providing security operations and managed security services to Regeneron. As an expert on cybersecurity, the incumbent will partner with internal and external designers, engineers and management to develop and analyze threat models and develop security requirements for applications, data, infrastructure, and cloud services. • Manage the Regeneron Security Operations Center (RSOC)
• Manage the development and delivery of cyber threat intelligence products (e.g., alerts and bulletins) to the broader Regeneron community of interest
I • dentify and mitigate active cyber threats to Regeneron network and data
• Accountable for the Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3 management of security incidents, vulnerabilities, and operational response to identified risks
• Lead and coordinate security incident response among business leaders in the event of a cybersecurity incident
• Manage security operations service providers, directing measurable security outcomes
• Deliver response outcomes, ticketing management, and exploitable security risk reduction metrics
• Lead teams responsible for maintaining security product configurations with baselines and security policies
• Lead teams responsible for validation and assurance of security controls in vulnerability management, data protection, identity and access, and threat management


Knowledge and Experience
• 12+ years' experience in security or infrastructure operations center functions, and leading cross-functional security teams
• 6+ years' experience managing a security operations team in identifying and mitigating cyber risks
• Experience in business-partner models of identifying, reporting, and resolving cyber security events in collaboration with business leaders, IT, and application owners
• Experience developing, implementing, and maintaining an information security operations within a large and complex organization

• Regularly interactions with the CIO and business leaders
• Lead security technology run functions, cyber defense operations, and response functions
• Provide leadership, development, and management of a diverse team of information security professionals
• Relationship manager for security operations service providers

• Develop and maintain a collaborative environment with stakeholders, to include sales, finance, human resources, business development, contracts, legal, IT and others as appropriate
• Collaborate across the security and IT leadership team to review the implementation of security controls, ability to communicate security topics with non-security professionals
Seeks innovative approaches to cyber threat mitigation, including machine learning, behavioral analytics, endpoint analytics, and other approaches to security data management
Ensure that the function stays current with new and emerging threats, security risks and potential impacts to the business


Excellent analytical, interpersonal and written communication skills
• Ability evaluate and weigh business priorities with security risk
• Ability to manage numerous tasks involving competing priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

• Experience in a GxP or other regulated environment is desired, but not required
