Department Overview - Clinical Pharmacology and Pharmacometrics

The Department of Clinical Pharmacokinetics and Pharmacodynamics provides critical scientific support for all phases of pharmaceutical research and development (NME and Marketed Products) in all divisions of the corporation by providing advice, data analyses and data interpretations that are technically sound and business-savvy in the areas of pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics and biopharmaceutics. The Department leads Exposure-Clinical response Modeling and Simulation to optimize dose selection and trial design for Translational/POC, Phase 2b and 3 studies. In collaboration with the Department of Pharmacometrics, the Department integrates data from multiple sources including: preclinical and clinical pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, dosing compliance/adherence, effective and toxic exposures, financial metrics, and overall cost/benefit.
