The primary responsibilities of this role, Identity Marketing Manager Open Innovation & LifeHub, are to:

  • Actively engage the community: translate the LifeHub cultural ambition into unique events, programs, day-to-day operations for a diverse set of Bayer internal and external stakeholders spanning across Bayer Life Sciences - Pharma, Crop Science and Consumer Health;
  • Leave your creative mark and actively manage the Bayer Open Innovation platform (BOIP);
  • Serve as the content administrator for the LifeHub Boston web site, LifeHub event invitations, email newsletter, and other marketing outreach;
  • Serve as primary point of contact for Bayer internal functions/divisions for the LifeHub Boston;
  • Develop concepts to engage with interested external participants in events, projects, etc.;
  • Work closely with our corporate and divisional communication teams and design partners (agencies, freelance designers, etc.) using various marketing channels to ensure that all visuals and events are "on brand" for the LifeHub;
  • Collaborate and engage with LifeHub leadership and project sponsors to populate Open Innovation at Bayer and LifeHub Boston social media feeds.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree;
  • Five or more years of work experience;
  • Understanding and experience of latest and greatest in online and social media marketing;
  • Experience planning immersive events for the public;
  • Strong network or networking skills targeting the local academic, influencer, startup and general community of Cambridge;
  • Culturally savvy to navigate within a complex organization and across various functions;
  • Able to collaborate with different personality styles in a professional manner;
  • Willing to get your hands dirty - no job too big or too small;
  • Demonstrate creativity in event planning;
  • Excellent time-management, oral and written communication and organizational skills;
  • Experience in working in complex situations with diverse stakeholders;
  • Ability to make quick decisions taking into account both Bayer and external partner considerations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in communication, marketing, public relations, social media, branding, event management or a hospitality role;
  • Experience with online marketing platforms like Wordpress, Eventbrite, Mailchimp, other systems.
