Your tasks and responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of this role, Lead Facility Technician- Electrician, are to:

  • Inspect equipment, fixtures, and facilities for proper operation and working condition and perform preventative maintenance as assigned through SAP work order system;
  • Maintain logs, manuals, records and other related documentation;
  • Troubleshoot electrical, and mechanical malfunctions; corrects faults necessary to return equipment to service;
  • Adjust, disassemble, repair, and reassemble complex equipment and machinery;
  • Report serious problems to supervisor; collaborate to develop solutions to problem conditions;
  • Maintain and repair electrical circuits up to 600 volts, including replacement, adjustment, or alteration of circuit wiring, switches, motors, relays, and other devices;
  • Install, set-up, and test new equipment, fixtures and machinery.
  • Operate Building Management Systems to troubleshoot and maintain required environmental conditions throughout the facilities;
  • Deliver courteous and effective customer service to the occupants of the buildings serviced;
  • Manage contractors according to all corporate guidelines ensuring safety quality and cost effectiveness of work.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree in industrial maintenance or related field;
  • Significant experience or completion of a recognized apprenticeship program in one or more trades may be substituted for the degree requirement;
  • Five years minimum experience as an electrician in an industrial or commercial environment with advanced knowledge of single and three-phase power systems;
  • Possession of or willingness to obtain a North Carolina Electrical License
  • Advanced capability with Building Automation Systems such as Seimens, Honeywell, JCI etc.;
  • General knowledge of the design, operation and repair of mechanical systems such as plumbing and HVAC;
  • Familiarity with building codes, electrical codes, and fire codes.
