The AbbVie Experiential Internship Program As an AbbVie Experiential Intern, you'll participate in a paid, ten to twelve-week summer program that is focused on providing students with robust projects throughout the summer. As an intern, you will be located at our corporate headquarters in north suburban Chicago, with housing and shuttle services for eligible students. Department Overview - Commercial Purchasing Commercial Purchasing is our Stakeholders strategic advisory board and expert resource partners within Purchasing and Supplier Management. Assignment Details
  • Internship Final Presentation-Mandatory for all Interns: Intern will present final project assignment conclusions & learnings to department management and broader team at conclusion of internship.
  • Category Spend Support-Support on Category Spend Work stream projects lead by Kevin Buckbee (Tim Verbeten to lead US Commercial
  • Purchasing Leadership Interviews-Conduct informal interviews with the PSM Leadership team to understand the various responsibilities and roles each department and how each group contributes toward the overall PSM goal.
  • Support on Fleet Sourcing EventĀ¬-Support on the Fleet Model Year RFQ. This is a very large Request for Proposal mid-summer that will require analytics and support.
  • PSN Savings Validation-Global BI PSN Volume Discount Savings Validation project (Andy Fry to Lead)
  • PSN Development for US Commercial Training space with Kim Larsen Chuck Slattery & Team
  • Driving Savings-Generate $100,000 in savings or 6 savings opportunities you have identified during your internship.

Completed at least one year of college education before beginning internship

  • Must be enrolled in school the semester following your internship
  • Graduate or Undergraduate Level Student
  • Minimum Cumulative GPA: 3.0/4.0
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorship (students on an F1 visa with CPT can be accommodated).
  • Majoring in Supply Chain or related discipline
