Position: Scientist (assay development)
Status: FTE

Reports to: Associate Director, Analytical Lab

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

•    Develop immunoassay methods for drug potency and PK study
•    Perform electrophoretic analysis of protein characterization and stability analysis
•    Develop chromatographic methods for protein aggregation, degradation, charge heterogeneity, glycosylation, peptide mapping and impurity analysis
•    Perform endotoxin and bioburden assays using aseptic technique and good cell culture practices
•     Maintain laboratory instrument and supplies
•     Participate in writing and revision of SOPs

Qualifications/Skills required:

•    Advanced degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry, or Biology required. PH. D preferred
•    8+ years’ experience in Pharma or Biotech industry 
•    Extensive experience in immune assays, electrophoresis, and HPLC chromatography is required 
•    Excellent written and oral communication skills with the capacity to multitask to meet deadlines 
•    Exceptional organizational skills to maintain data and records
•    Flexibility to change direction and positional assignment as priorities shift
•    Ability to solve complex problems using a data-driven and solution-focused approach
