Reporting to the VP Operations and Supply Chain this position will be responsible for all movement of clinical and commercial product from the respective manufacturers to the end customer. Included in this mandate is the required interface with all relevant stakeholders including the DEA and other governmental agencies. The successful candidate must be able to work cross functionally with internal partners but also collaborate with external CMO's and related vendors. The position will pro-active seek out ways to improve the movement of product and will be responsible for establishing a strategic plan and relevant budget for the upcoming year and then manage to that plan. At all times the supply chain area must operate in accordance with existing laws and guidelines. This position will also be responsible for the development, updates and monitoring of all SOP's related to supply chain. Critical will be the conducting of ongoing audits where required and ensuring that the area does not trigger any issues with the FDA, DEA or other related agencies. Manage one Logistics Coordinator.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Develop the end to end plan and related budget to meet clinical and commercial product needs during the year
  • Ensure that all vendors operate in an efficient and compliant manner including performing audits in a timely manner
  • Creatively seek out ways to improve the supply chain
  • Ensure a comprehensive knowledge of all agreements in order to ensure that supply chain operates within the context of our contractual obligations
  • Work closely with Director of Contract Manufacturing for product input into the supply chain as well as with the Director of Quality to ensure back end release of product
  • Provide expertise in terms of packaging technologies and also manage the serialization of our products meeting all regulatory needs


Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • B SC. degree in life sciences, chemistry, engineering or the equivalent
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in supply chain or a related area.
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Experience working in an environment with high use of CMO's
  • Track record of negotiating contracts
  • Experience writing SOP's and Auditing partners
