This senior technology position is responsible for defining the functional, technical roadmap for the platform. Key Responsibilities include:
  • Lead IR Salesforce practice
  • Drive platform roadmap and adoption of product releases by engaging with business and IT leaders within in the organization and with Salesforce and vendor product teams
  • Provide consultative support, define technical solutions and evangelize functional and technical capabilities of the platform. Identify potential risks and impact on operations associated with new solutions
  • Facilitate and review the definition and implementation of standards, methodologies, and best practices that guide the design of technology solutions.
  • Develop and maintain best practices and standards supporting the platform and drive adoption.
  • Facilitate and Develop Innovative POCs/POTs (proof of concept/proof of technology) exercises to demonstrate feasibility in order to refine and also showcase new capabilities of the platform.
  • Act as expert point of escalation for issues related to the platform
  • Work closely with Business Realtionship Manager and Domain Directors, functional/technical consulting staff and directly with clients to architect technology solutions needed to drive alignment of client needs.
  • Provide oversight of the development team and confirm that the solution meets the specifications and standards defined.

  • Provide the best practices and present additional opportunities to further leverage Salesforce and the platform
  • Execute solution design activities such as object modeling and data modeling/mapping, page layout design and rule logic definitions
  • Oversee the development and maintainance of a model documents library, templates, best practices, and other re-usable knowledge assets.
  • Promote reusability of functionality within Salesforce platform, including integration components.
  • Identify, communicate, and manage risks that may interfere with project execution or success.
  • Provide technical architecture strategy and guidance for all Salesforce rollouts, and assist with design for adoption strategy.
  • Manage SalesForce technical issues and serve as the technical authority for team members throughout issue resolution.
  • Work effectively on multiple assignments, activities, and projects.
  • Advise and enforce development process model from analysis and scope to delivery and measurement.
  • Maintain a high awareness of industry issues and trends, particularly in regard to accessibility, usability, and emerging technologies, keeping team members informed as appropriate with a view to incorporating these in future projects and staying ahead of the market.
  • Support the full project life cycle, including analysis, design, development, delivery, and post-delivery
  • Master's degree and 15+ years of experience in IT architecture working for or consulting to large, F500 companies. Healthcare and Pharmaceutical R&D experience preferred. MBA or Masters in Information Technology desired
  • 10+ years of experience in increasing levels of responsibility developing solutions & applications with at least 6+ years on
  • 10+ years of implementation experience, including development, across the full software development lifecycle
  • 10+ year of experience in an Architect Role
  • Experience with sales cloud, service cloud, chatter, communities etc.
  • Possess detailed knowledge and awareness of emerging trends and technologies within the Platform
  • Outstanding leadership and motivational skills to ensure that technology solutions continuously meet the evolving needs of the business.
  • Certified as an Architect on the platform
  • Custom development experience in, visualforce, data loader, Heroku, AWS), integration with other enterprise applications and ecosystem applications
  • Experience with multiple, complex implementation projects involving multiple releases, change management process and/or multi location deployment
  • Experience with mobile solutions and considerations
  • Experience with the common third-party solution providers for
  • Experience in designing/developing Web Services/Rest API to interface with other systems
  • Experience with Enterprise Integration and ETL tools
  • Experience with Javascript, Triggers, .net, Java, HTML5, CSS and Batch Apex
  • Understanding of data, network and single sign on technologies
  • Evangelist, committed to ensuring complex ideas are explained and reach the audience in a simple and easily understood format
  • Experience in providing guidance on technology solutions both verbally and through the preparation of written materials in order to build relationships, influence and negotiate.
