Operations Finance is a global and dynamic group going through a period of rapid change driven by internal and corporate initiatives. The Finance Manager will spearhead the Reporting and other HQ functions with strong partnership and FP&A knowledge while maintaining appropriate controls. This position will play a critical role in driving change as systems and the business environment changes. Successful candidates will have a high performance track record and ability to coach and develop staff. This position interacts with various groups within AbbVie requiring excellent communication skills and strong inter-personal skills.

Key Responsibilities Include:
- Reporting functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Month-end close process
- Publish internal metric and report generation
- Support frontline resources with Accounting guidance and counseling
- Coordinate audits, internal, external and SOX
- Lead internal quality reporting initiatives
- Support or lead the following projects:
- Close Acceleration
- Accounting changes, GAAP and internal policies
- TM1 deployment, on-boarding
- Partner with FP&A function to ensure a streamlined and efficient process
- Lead Ops monthly Accounting Forum
- Other duties as necessary
Basic:
- Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance.
- 6 plus years of accounting or finance experience
- Experience in supporting and presenting to senior business and finance management.
- Firm understanding of AbbVie's financial policies (CFMs), Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, and internal controls.
- Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
- Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel and Power Point.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in business applications, TM1, SAP and HFM.
- Must be able to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly to change to achieve required timelines.
- Initiative and ability to work in team environment.
- Continuous sitting for prolonged periods.
- Previous FP&A roles in pharmaceutical/healthcare manufacturing strongly preferred.
- Previous Cost Accounting experience preferred.
- CPA and/or MBA preferred.
