Position Summary

Summary:

Regeneron is seeking a talented and motivated microbiologist to join a laboratory working on immunotherapeutic approaches for infectious diseases. This candidate will be required to:
1. Maintain and culture microorganisms as necessary necessary (growth, culture, storage)
2. Evaluate target antibodies in vitro (ELISA, microbiological growth assays, reporter bioassays, MICs and immunofluorescence)
3. Evaluate target antibodies in vivo (run animal models of infectious diseases)

Duties:

- Incumbent should be both highly skilled in microbiology and have practical experience required to carry out experiments, with minimum supervision, designed to answer questions as defined within the project; these may include microbiological growth assays, cell-based assays or toxin studies
- Incumbent should be able to perform routine tasks involved in running a microbiology laboratory including knowledge of routine sterile techniques, basic safety procedures within a BL2 laboratory and correct storage and handling of bacteria
- Experience performing routine biochemistry tasks would be a plus, including SDS-PAGE, Western blot and ELISA
- Experimence performing routine molecular biology tasks would be a plus, including PCR, cloning and transformations
- Willingness to handle mice and perform animal studies is required
- The successful candidate will need to be highly organized and flexible with experience working in a team environment

Requirements:

- Bachelors Degree
- Sterile technique and handling/growing bacteria and mammalian cells in BSL2 laboratory
- Skilled in cell based bioassays
- Excellent organizational skills
- Motivated and able to handle multiple projects at once
