Summary of Position

The Associate Scientist I will be responsible for developing and implementing immunoassays and bioassays under GLP to support non-clinical and clinical studies and establish SOPs and reports. The individual will also work closely with Quality Assurance to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and with industry best practices.

Responsibilities and Job Duties:

  • Participates in immunoassay development, optimization and validation.

  • Writes and revises SOPs and study reports.

  • Performs routine laboratory tasks and monitor GLP compliance.

  • Performs immunoassays under GLP to support pre-clinical and clinical studies.

  • Coordinates work with QA and research staff.

  • Performs research in collaboration with others for projects. Makes details observations, analyzes data and interprets results.

  • Investigates, creates and develops new methods and technologies to advance projects.

  • Maintains expertise through familiarity with scientific literature.

  • Acts independently in conducting research experiments


Education & Credentials

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a scientific discipline


  • Minimum of five years of related experience with a Bachelors; minimum of two years of related experience with a Master’s degree

  • Minimum of one year of experience working in a GLP environment

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 

  • Working knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) regulations

  • Knowledge of immunoassay principles and techniques

  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and facilitation skills

  • Ability to act independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
