An entry level Bioanalytical Analysis Associate (BAA) that executes experiments under the direct supervision of a supervisor/manager. Performs routine technical tasks requiring minimal decision making capabilities. Possesses a knowledge of the basic principles of immunoassays obtained through academic training or relevant industry experience.

  • Trains on manual and automated bioanalytical methods under direct supervision. Executes manual and automated bioanalytical methods to perform bioanalysis for clinical studies under direct supervision.
  • Executes a limited number of plates within the same day.
  • Interprets data (with the help of a supervisor/manager as needed) in order to assess plate acceptance criteria and determine appropriate sample dilutions. Reports to supervisor/manager any assay-related failures. May perform development/investigation activities to troubleshoot assay-related issues under direct guidance or supervision.
  • May provide cross-functional support to other analysis teams within CBA, as needed.
  • Communicates effectively with supervisor/manager, Lab Manager and other BAAs within CBA.
  • Executes basic operations in LIMS (requesting samples, building plates, tracking sample movement and data entry). Utilizes the ELN for data documentation purposes.
  • Prepares reagents used within CBA, and re-orders laboratory supplies and reagents, as needed.
  • Ensures compliance, as appropriate, for all laboratory work and documentation in accordance with working practices, company SOPs, bioanalytical methods and regulations.
  • May interact with Quality Assurance & Auditing (QAA) to provide any requested documentation. Works closely with Quality Control (QC) to address documentation findings and ensure quality data are provided.
  • Responsible for his/her own safety in the laboratory, as well as for the safety of co-workers and visitors.


  • Bachelor's degree or a Master's degree

  • 0 to 2 years of relevant laboratory experience for Bachelor's degree
  • 0 to 1 year of relevant laboratory experience for Master's degree
