Manager, Marketing Operations - Promotional Review & Materials Management

SUMMARY:


The Manager, Marketing Operations - Promotional Review & Materials Management partners with Marketing to understand key business needs and initiatives, and provides operational and analytical support to drive efficiencies in associated project planning and execution. The Manager collaborates with MARC Operations Management (MOM) to ensure Marketing's compliance with the materials review process and its SOP. The Manager works closely with cross-functional partners including Marketing, Market Access, Regulatory, Legal, Compliance, Medical Affairs, and Information Technology, as well as collaboration partners and external third-party vendors to deliver excellence and efficiency in key initiatives though marketing tactics, product launches, congresses, and other activities. Strategic planning and collaboration are critical to success in this role. Additionally, the Manager will be responsible for managing the inventory, distribution and tracking of promotional material to the field sales force, ensuring proper quantities are on hand for the field sales force. This individual will lead project management initiatives for the commercial organization. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Project Management lead for the commercial team. Develop and maintain a centralized project management system that tracks marketing tactics/activities' lifecycles from planned to developed, distributed and withdrawn.
  • Budget management and tracking for the commercial organization.
  • Develop and drive adherence to timelines for Marketing tactics undergoing Promotional Review Committee (PRC) and Corporate Communications Review Committee (CCRC) process
  • Manage Subpart-H-related promotional materials planning and submissions.
  • Partner with/Support Regulatory Affairs in Office of Prescription Drug Promotion (OPDP) activities, including strategic planning of branded promotional materials through product launches and prescribing information (PI) updates
  • Manages advertising agencies and external partners to ensure development of promotional materials are complete for regulatory submissions
  • Materials Management Manage all elements of field related promotional material to ensure sufficient quantities on hand and proper distribution (both push and on demand); track and manage exhibit display units for utilization by field personnel.
  • Lead special projects in support of marketing initiatives
  • Manages communications between the marketing team and field sales teams to including direction, education, and status of marketing initiatives
  • Managers internal communications for internal meetings to include presentations for Sales Meetings, Joint Commercial Committee Meetings and quarterly reviews.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A minimum of 5 years of biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry experience required, preferably in Marketing or Marketing/Commercial/Regulatory Operations
  • Bachelor's degree; business or biological sciences preferred, Advance Degrees a plus
  • Demonstrated track record of increasing responsibility
  • Experience with a subpart H US product launch is preferred
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and the ability to think strategically and solve problems
  • Proven ability to collaborate and work cross-functionally to drive business results in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong leadership and ability to drive influence across stakeholders to set direction, align work efforts, and ensure outstanding execution
  • Experience working closely with field sales organizations to implement marketing programs with measurable business impact
  • Outstanding project management and budget management skills
  • Experience managing multiple vendors and agency partners
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple competing priorities
  • Strong understanding of legal and regulatory environment in pharmaceutical promotions, pharmaceutical industry guidelines, and other compliance-related issues
