QED Therapeutics, a subsidiary of BridgeBio Pharma, is a biotechnology company focused on precision medicine for FGFR-driven disorders. Our lead candidate is infigratinib, a best-in-class FGFR kinase inhibitor that has shown meaningful clinical activity in chemotherapy-refractory cholangiocarcinoma with FGFR2 fusions. QED is also evaluating infigratinib in preclinical studies for the treatment of achondroplasia. We plan to develop infigratinib in additional FGFR-driven tumor types and rare disorders.

Position Summary:

QED Therapeutics is seeking a highly talented, driven and motivated Scientist to join a multidisciplinary team evaluating a novel treatment in the fields of precision oncology and rare genetic diseases. The candidate will explore mechanism of action focusing on clinical response to treatment, elucidate biomarkers of response, and identify potential new patient populations that will benefit from treatment. The candidate will work in a highly collaborative environment focused on research and clinical development. Responsibilities include in vitro work requiring tissue culture, cell line engineering and interrogating cellular signaling pathways to help advance our clinical program.

Responsibilities & Functions:

  • Develop in vitro assays to profile compounds using mechanistic and functional readouts in cell-based systems
  • Cell line engineering, testing, and characterization
  • Use in vivo and ex vivo models to identify drug pharmacodynamic markers and understanding of mechanisms of action
  • Experimentally characterize mechanisms of resistance and identify rational combination strategies
  • Collaborate closely with other functions within the organization including clinical operations, pre-clinical pharmacology, and business development
  • Present results at scientific conferences and publish in top-tier peer-reviewed journals

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • PhD in biological sciences (cellular and molecular biology, oncology, immunology, etc.)
  • Famliariaty with pre-clinical in vitro and animal disease models
  • Flexibility in a fast-paced, changing environment; be willing to accept responsibilities outside of the initial job description
  • Highly collaborative with demonstrated ability to work in an interdisciplinary team
  • High ethical standards and scientific integrity
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Prior experience working in a start-up environment is a plus
  • Passion for bringing innovative medical treatments to patients with unmet needs
