Summary: Primarily responsible for aspects of Process equipment maintenance. Responsible for project planning, budgeting, design & construction management. Will oversee contracts for projects and coordinate work with appropriate internal departments, contractors, and external agencies. Responsible for compliance to all regulatory requirements including but not limited to FDA, OSHA, NFPA. Responsible for day-to-day operations of the Process Maintenace Group, staff leadership, and resource management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Manage Tech OPS Process Maintenance Group or outside contractors/vendors to maintain equipment in validated state to support production schedule.
• Promotes and ensures safe working environment.
• Plans departmental staffing patterns and operating expenses. Is responsible for departmental staffing
• Responsible for all aspects of employee/labor relations, including job descriptions, interviewing, hiring, discipline, yearly performance evaluations and employee retention efforts.
• Manage FM scheduling function and develop scheduling team to support business needs.
• Works with other department managers in order to maintain Process Equipment as required.
• Participates in and provides leadership for the development of policies and procedures for department, division and organization
• Responsible for resolution of Process Maintenance issues. Develops, implements, and monitors departmental employee training programs.
• Strives for excellence in Customer Satisfaction initiatives through planning, implementation, follow up and monitoring.
• Responsible for monitoring and maintaining all corrective and preventative maintenance programs for process areas and equipment.
• Responsible for communication of site safety policies and procedures and fostering a safe work culture.
• Responsible for determining training requirements and developing his department.
• Responsible for developing KPIs to drive continuous improvement in department.
• Ensure full compliance to policies and guidelines.
• Proactively work to identify equipment replacement needs.
• Develop and implement changes to the Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Predictive Maintenance (PdM) Programs to ensure full compliance.
• Ensure that GMP, Federal, State, and Local regulations are complied with as evidenced by internal audits and inspections from Government Agencies.
• Direct, administer, and coordinate the activities of the non-exempt and exempt employees assigned to the Facilities Maintenance Program.
• Train, guide, and evaluate employees in the interpretation of company policies, goals, and objectives for the company site.
• Maintain an adequate workforce to support present needs and plan for departmental requirements in the future.
• Promote good relationships within the department and with other departments within the company site.
• Responsible for managing investigations, coordinating study teams and completing investigation documentation.
• Maintain a responsible area at the highest level of compliance at all times.
• Perform and manage other duties and projects as required.
Education and Experience:
• Requires BS in Engineering, or a related field, with 6-8 years' experience or equivalent facilities management experience.
• Supervision experience in planning, organizing, as well as direction of a diverse workforce involved in the building maintenance of a large multi-building manufacturing complex.
• 6+ years manufacturing maintenance experience required.
• 6+ years experience in a pharmaceutical or other cGMP environment.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and influencing skills are required.
