Position Summary

This person will be working in Research & Development Planning, Strategy, and Operations in Tarrytown, NY. R&D Systems, Tools & Operations (STO) aligns and coordinates the operational advancement of projects across R&D. Business Intelligence reporting needs have grown across multiple departments within the company, and the STO team seeks an intern to support QlikView dashboarding projects. The student will be responsible for:
• Identifying data sources relevant to data visualization objectives
• Facilitating the design and structuring of new data sources
• Evaluating the quality of incoming data and developing processes for maintaining high data quality
Opportunities include: input in dashboard design, input in data model structure, Interactions with functional data owners, data structuring and input in standard formats.

• Must be an undergraduate student
• Must be pursuing a degree in Computer Science or related field
• Experience with QlikView, SQL, and Scripting
• Must have excellent communication skills and must work closely with data producers and consumers in developing optimal data visualization solutions. Must have excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think outside the box to produce novel data visualization solutions.

General Intern Program Information:
• Must be enrolled in, or accepted to, an academic program pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, PhD or PharmD
• Summer Program is full-time (~40 hrs/wk) for at least 10 weeks and is paid
• Prefer demonstrated leadership in areas such as campus activities, clubs, sports or the community
• Minimum GPA of 3.0
• You will work with a specific manager on a project(s)
• Enjoy weekly 1 hour Intern Program events: learn about other areas of the company from VPs and other employees, soft skills workshops, networking, volunteering, and more!
• Present to your team on your summer project
