Position Summary

Summary:

Compiles, records, and analyzes accounts payable transactions, such as payment authorizations, check requests, purchase order requests, and bills. Checks work for accuracy and completeness. Interfaced with Materials, Finance and Administrative functions.

Responsibilities:

• Compiles, records, and analyzes routine accounts payable transactions.
• Verify that all transactions comply with corporate policies and procedures.
• Manage and maintain data entry of invoices in a timely manner.
• Demonstrates ability in application of the requisite skills to perform the required tasks of the position.
• Performs assigned tasks and special projects, as needed. Work directly with AP Supervisor and Manager.
• Must be able to monitor and manage multiple queues in invoice workflow system.
• Able to identify invoice issues and work with the Procurement and Receiving departments for resolution.
• Must have knowledge of vendor set up and maintenance requirements (i.e. W9, W8, 1099 requirements).
• Responsible for running multiple weekly, monthly and annual reports to check for accuracy.
• Have knowledge of invoice workflow/document scanning systems.

Requirements:

Education and Experience:
A High school diploma or GED and a minimum of four (4) years experience are required for this position.

Computer Skills:
Strong Microsoft Office Suite and Excel skills
Oracle preferred, but not necessary
Document scanning/imaging skills
