Position Summary

There are 2 positions in Clinical Bioanalysis in Tarrytown, NY. The students will provide bioanalytical support, in a highly regulated environment, for ongoing clinical studies. The position would report to an experienced Bioanalytical Analysis Associate (BAA) within the Metabolic Disease team, and responsibilities would include:

• Preparing reagents and buffer solutions, and re-ordering laboratory supplies and reagents, as needed.
• Training on bioanalytical methods (both manual and automated) under direct supervision.
• Executing bioanalytical methods to perform bioanalysis for clinical studies under direct supervision.
• Interpreting data (with the help of a supervisor) in order to assess plate acceptance criteria and trend assay performance.
• Executing basic operations in LIMS (requesting samples, building plates, tracking sample movement and data entry), ELN (real-time documentation) and SoftMax (data analysis).
• Ensuring compliance, as appropriate, for all laboratory work and documentation in accordance with regulations, company SOPs and internal processes and procedures.
• Communicating effectively with supervisor, Laboratory Manager and analysts within CBA.
• Adherence to proper safety requirements and guidelines.

• Must be an undergraduate student
• Must be pursuing a degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Biomedical Engineering, etc.
• Experience with pipetting, immunoassay (ELISA), and immunology
• Must have basic laboratory and basic documentation skills

General Intern Program Information:
• Must be enrolled in, or accepted to, an academic program pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, PhD or PharmD
• Summer Program is full-time (~40 hrs/wk) for at least 10 weeks and is paid
• Prefer demonstrated leadership in areas such as campus activities, clubs, sports or the community
• Minimum GPA of 3.0
• You will work with a specific manager on a project(s)
• Enjoy weekly 1 hour Intern Program events: learn about other areas of the company from VPs and other employees, soft skills workshops, networking, volunteering, and more!
• Present to your team on your summer project
