Position Summary

Regeneron commercializes medicines for eye diseases, high LDL-cholesterol, atopic dermatitis and a rare inflammatory condition and has product candidates in development in other areas of high unmet medical need, including rheumatoid arthritis, asthma, pain, cancer and infectious diseases.

These positions are in Biostatistics in Tarrytown, NY or Basking Ridge, NJ. There are 3 openings for Summer 2018. Each opening is described below.

Position 1: The student will perform the statistical assessment and development of novel endpoints for Early Clinical Development and Experimental Sciences studies, and in producing data visualization tools for such endpoints, including novel biomarkers and telemetry data. The intern will support the development of analysis techniques and visualization tools such as R/Shiny for biomarker and telemetry data, and to apply these techniques to real data sets. The goal will be to provide a comprehensive package of information on the use, analysis and visualization of such data, to help plan future clinical studies.

Position 2: The student will research and compare statistical methods for safety monitoring and develop tools for regular safety monitoring. The student will also compare different methods dealing with missing data using simulations and real clinical trial data.

Position 3: The student will support Clinical Development and Exploratory Sciences. The summer intern will be working on simulation based innovative study design & data mining projects, which includes literature review and programming support. Both frequentist approach and Bayesian methodology will be applied to the projects.

• Must be a graduate or PhD student
• Must be pursuing a degree in statistics or biostatistics
• Position 2: Experience with SAS and R
• Position 3: Experience with Bayesian methodology, data mining, modeling and simulation, linear and nonlinear models, and model-informed drug development.
• Position 3: Must have expertise in statistical software such as R, WinBUGS, JAGS and SAS and familiarity with R –Shiny.
• Position 3: Background knowledge in machine learning will be a plus.

General Intern Program Information:
• Must be enrolled in, or accepted to, an academic program pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, PhD or PharmD
• Summer Program is full-time (~40 hrs/wk) for at least 10 weeks and is paid
• Prefer demonstrated leadership in areas such as campus activities, clubs, sports or the community
• Minimum GPA of 3.0
• You will work with a specific manager on a project(s)
• Enjoy weekly 1 hour Intern Program events: learn about other areas of the company from VPs and other employees, soft skills workshops, networking, volunteering, and more!
• Present to your team on your summer project
