Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) is an software engineering discipline & a cloud native role , that combines software and systems engineering to build and run large-scale, massively distributed, fault-tolerant systems. Site Reliability engineering – is responsible for developing & Implementing services that ensure the posture of the system. As a engineer you are responsible for the system availability design, performance engineering, monitoring service engineering, among other things of the platform and services that Regeneron runs and owns.

Will be responsible for building the foundation services for our massive cloud infrastructure: systems performance, networking, storage, deployment automation and more. As a member of the DC-Cloud engineering team, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other engineering team. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.

You'll work on code (Python, Ansible, JSON, Shell, JAVA, SQL ) and other automation to create new systems for scaling deployment and mission-critical operation of our cloud. The role is a mix of systems engineering, automation engineering and DevOps.

• Develop Services that can be integrated and/or leverage by the Data Center & Cloud engineering and rest of the organization in support of application and/or platform
• Engage in and improve the whole lifecycle of services—from inception and design, through deployment, operation and refinement.
• Support services before they go live through activities such as system design consulting, developing software platforms and frameworks, capacity planning and launch reviews.
• Maintain services once they are live by measuring and monitoring availability, latency and overall system health.
• Scale systems sustainably through mechanisms like automation, and evolve systems by pushing for changes that improve reliability and velocity.

• 10+ years IT experience
• 4+ years production experience in Python
• 5+ Years developing and support service reliability services in one or more cloud ( Google, AWS, OpenStack ) or similar configuration
• 5+ Years – supporting Distributed application services & platform
• Experience in one or more of the following: C, C++, Java, Python, Go, Perl or Ruby.
• Experience in one of more of the following : ( Mesosphere, Kubernetes, Prometheus, Open Tracing, Fluentd, Containerd, CNI ( Container Network Interfaces ) support Distributed Computing
• Must have experience supporting distributed service & platform
• Experience in designing, analyzing and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems.
• Ability to debug and optimize code and automate routine tasks
• Bachelors Degree required
