Summary: Responsible for oversight and management of IOPS Program Finance team. Involves reviewing, analyzing, communicating and maintaining budgets/forecasts for all of IOPS costs for both internal and collaboration program budgets. In addition, will lead financial special projects in support of the IOPS business as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Accountable for the direct oversight and management of performance and results of IOPS Program Finance team
• Reviews and prepares, as needed, all IOPS sections of quarterly forecasts & annual program budgets: Operating Expenses, Revenue/reimbursement, capital expenditures, drug supply, clinical and external manufacturing expenses, device development, headcount and FTEs as assigned
• Oversees and leads, as needed, financial and/or operational working groups, in order to manage and maintain relationships with both internal and external program counterparts and collaborators (as pertains to CMC costs)
• Provides financial guidance on key program/business decisions and purchase requisitions
• Compiles and reviews (and prepares as necessary) program variance explanations between actual and budgeted/forecasted results
• Compiles and reviews (and prepares as necessary) variance explanations between budget/forecast iterations
• Reviews (and prepares as necessary) monthly program financial reports including Operating Expenses, Revenue/reimbursement, capital expenditures, drug supply, clinical and external manufacturing expenses, device development, and FTEs (for IOPS Sites and/or programs as assigned)
• Collaborates and communicates with the Corporate Project Finance team
• Leads/Performs continual analysis of IOPS program financials and business operations in order to continuously improve the financial modeling and forecasting of future CMC costs
• Leads, reviews (and prepares as necessary) ad-hoc budget/forecast requests as assigned from Management
• Compiles and reviews CMC activity reports and work packages for quarterly collaboration reporting as assigned
• Maintains/reviews (and prepares as necessary) regular updates for COGS (cost per unit) for our portfolio of products as assigned as assigned

Knowledge and Skills:
• Extensive knowledge in spreadsheet (MS Excel) and financial modeling
• Ability to work effectively in a team
• Ability to effectively manage conflict and change
• Ability to adapt to a quickly changing environment
• Ability to work with a reasonable amount of uncertainty and provide best estimates with comfort and confidence
• Ability to understand and define issues, collect and analyze data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
• Ability to effectively communicate issues, results, financial drivers and ideas with peers and management (internal and external)
• Demonstrated interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
• Ability to build effective working relationships throughout the organization
• Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications

o Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint is a plus

Education and Experience:

• Requires BS/BA in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or applicable science degree; MBA a plus
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience required
• Prior management experience a must
• Project Management experience a plus
• Pharmaceutical Industry experience a plus
• Experience with Oracle and Hyperion software is a plus
