Position Summary

This position is for Summer AND Fall (full time, about 7 months from May/June to December 2018)

This person will be working in Formulation Development in Tarrytown, NY. The student will participate in executing these experiments: (1) filter sizing and adsorption evaluation and (2) filling pump mechanism evaluation using peristaltic pump. Study (1) will help to provide filtration process parameter operating range for drug product manufacturing, and optimize filter sizing prediction model using JMP. Study (2) will evaluate drug product of various protein concentration on dripping, splashing, foaming and drying phenomenon during filling process and provide filling operation range to manufacturing.

• Undergrad or PhD student
• Must be pursuing a degree in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Science, Biochemistry or related
• General protein related lab skills, able to measure protein physical properties (pH, osmolality, conductivity, protein concentration, viscosity), protein filtration experience, familiar with peristaltic pump, analytical balance
• Good understanding of process science, good lab notebook documentation

General Intern/Co-op Program Information:
• Must be enrolled in, or accepted to, an academic program pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, PhD or PharmD
• Program is full-time (~40 hrs/wk) and is paid
• Prefer demonstrated leadership in areas such as campus activities, clubs, sports or the community
• Minimum GPA of 3.0
• You will work with a specific manager on a project(s)
• Enjoy weekly 1 hour Intern Program events: learn about other areas of the company from VPs and other employees, soft skills workshops, networking, volunteering, and more!
• Present to your team on your summer project
