The Marketing Manager - Oncology designs and develops, and implements commercial plans and programs needed to lead market leadership in a competitive landscape. The Marketing Manager - Oncology lead multiple commercial operation departments to ensure success in product support and sales execution. Internally, the MM II will foster positive working relationships with the sales force, medical affairs, market research, sales training, regulatory, and other cross franchise marketing teams. Externally, will work with various agencies and consultants, physicians, and co-marketing partners to successfully drive the business. The Marketing Manager - Oncology does not have direct reports but demonstrates the ability to lead without authority, and work collaboratively with the integrated commercial team and IOT.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Translate the brand tactical plan for field execution (AE and DFT)
  • Lead Launch Meeting preparation with the cross functional team
    • Develop Launch Video
    • Handle planning and logistics
    • Coordinate and manage the agency for creative and production activities
  • Lead the preparation of Brand specific activities needed for National and Regional sales meetings
  • Lead Control Tower activities and gain input from Field Advisory Boards in support of the Brand strategy and initiatives
  • Partner with sales operations to align and provide input into Field Team Effectiveness workstreams
    • Provide input on MBOs and sales incentive plan
    • Point for Brand Specific Communications to the fiel
    • Point for Call Plan
    • Point for Targeting pull through effort
    • Point for refinement of WoW across functions
  • Partner with Sales Training in the development of all Brand and Disease state specific field training
  • Partner with Sales Training in the development of AE and DFT playbooks and workshops for national and local sales meetings
  • Develop and execute Internal Awareness Marketing Campaigns for the brand team
  • Conduct routine field travel with the sales force and participate in local market and patient immersions to better understand local market drivers and dynamics and to “get in the shoes” of our consumers and HCP
  • Communicate up, down, and laterally in an effective manner



  • Bachelor's Degree and 5-7 years of biopharmaceutical or other equivalent (relevant) experience required (i.e., device, diagnostics, or CPG)
  • 2-3 years of sales or marketing (brand or product management) experience
  • Strong analytics with excellent overall business acumen
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills

  • Sales Training Experience
  • Market research or analytical experience
  • Oncology product experience, preferably Lung Cancer
  • Product launch experience
  • MBA
