The California Pacific Medical Center Research Institute is a dynamic group of scientists and clinical investigators focused on biomedical, clinical and translational research. We are the research component of California Pacific Medical Center, the largest medical center in San Francisco. Currently we are seeking a self-motivated, innovative and independent scientist to join our Precision Medicine for Healthy Aging research program. The goals of this program are to accelerate the discovery of genetic, behavioral, and other factors of aging and independent functioning and to validate that modification of these factors improves health and functioning in elderly patients who are expected to benefit. 

This position requires advanced knowledge of genomics, biostatistics, and human aging. Experience working with large data sets is required and familiarity with EPIC is highly desirable. This position does not involve laboratory work. Previous publications in genetics, aging, and disease are preferred. Supervision will be provided jointly by senior scientists affiliated with our large epidemiologic cohorts as well as health care system level scientists using EHR data. Must be highly collaborative, team-oriented, but also capable of working independently. Strong written/verbal communication skills are required. Salary is commensurate with experience.
