Mammalian tissue culture

  • Culture of primary mammalian cells and immortalized cell lines
  • Mammalian cell transfection

Molecular biology

  • DNA construct design (e.g., using standard sequence manipulation software), PCR, molecular cloning, plasmid purification, interpretation of Sanger sequencing results

Next-generation sequencing (NGS) and analysis

  • In collaboration with core facilities, prepare and analyze Illumina sequencing libraries

  • Coordinate experiments with other Scientists and RAs across functional groups, compile data and present results, and stay current on relevant primary literature

Candidate must possess:

  • B.Sc. or equivalent in Cell Biology, Bioengineering, Biochemistry, Immunology, Genetics, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a biotech, pharmaceutical, or academic laboratory setting
