Purpose: Work collaboratively with technology and business groups to conceive, design, engineer, and implement data, software, and technology solutions that solve significant business problems. Investigate, identify, and implement state-of-the-art technology solutions that drive productivity and efficiency gains throughout multiple business areas. Contribute to advancement of technology in area of expertise. Develop productive collaborations and communications with other groups across multiple disciplines. This position will be an expert technical resource on AbbVie's Trackwise implementation, guiding other team members, across multiple IT organizations, business clients and vendors.
Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Anticipates and recommends technical solutions to business requirements and problems via TrackWise platform capabilities (current and future). Analyzes and resolves technical problems using analytical problem solving methods/techniques and associated tools/devices.
  • Keeps up-to-date on TrackWise industry trends, best practices, platform capabilities and developments, educating team members and key stakeholders.
  • Conceive, design, engineer, and implement data, software, or technology solutions by studying information needs conferring with users, studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes and investigating problem areas. Routinely demonstrate initiative and creativity in developing technology solutions.
  • Serve as technical expert or lead projects/programs and technical staff to develop, test and implement significant new solutions or operational improvements, or devise new approaches to problems at the division/business unit.
  • Champions change and innovation. Stimulates creativity and innovation in others. Open to new ideas. Supports those who initiate and lead change.
  • Contribute to advancement of own function by studying state-of-the-art tools, techniques, and computing equipment; participate in educational opportunities and professional organizations.
  • Highly autonomous and productive in performing activities, requiring only minimal direction from or interaction with supervisor. Accountable for successful and timely completion of all tasks/projects under direct and matrix control.
  • Establishes and maintains high-quality relationships with system owners, key users and with external partners (vendors and service providers).
  • Provides technical leadership and mentors and consults with less experienced staff in planning, methods, procedures, standards and best practices.
  • Understand and adhere to corporate standards regarding applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies, including code of conduct, safety, GxP compliance, data security, and the software development lifecycle.
Qualifications Basic;
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education and typically 10 years of experience, Master's Degree or equivalent education and typically 8 years of experience.
  • Expertise in the field of TrackWise administration and configuration, Java web services and Crystal Reports development.
  • Technical experience in Oracle PL/SQL programming.
  • Knowledge of computerized system validation practices.
  • Excellent written and oral English communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Quality Management business process knowledge experience in Complaints, Audit, Corrective Actions, Exception Reporting, Supplier Management and Change Management.
    TrackWise implementation experience in Pharma/Life Sciences companies.
