AbbVie Operations Business Insights (OBI) team is working to transform AbbVie Operations into an agile data driven enterprise. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of that change. User Experience Designer will be responsible for end-to-end service experience and interaction design. The position will have responsibility to help realize “Product Performance”, the key foundational element of Operations Strategic operating model for the future. UX Designer will enable the solution design in alignment with Delivery and Architecture team. He/she will work on web design, user-centered design, graphic design, human factors engineering, user interface (UI) design, information architecture (IA), Interaction design (IxD), usability testing, Customer communication and marketing for OBI.

Key Responsibilities include:

Graphic & Communication Design

Designs graphics, user interface and communication and represents the aesthetics or look-and-feel of the front-end of any user interface

Information Architecture

Organizes Information architecture of products and services to support usability and findability of websites, SharePoint sites and software systems and is also concerned with metadata: for content objects such as documents, people, processes, and organizations. Designs navigation and the way in which the interface elements are placed so as to regulate the users' movement through the information architecture and make it simple.

Interaction design

Understands interaction design and how it can enables a pleasurable end-user experience to conceptualize design that matches user expectations and standards of the latest UI patterns and components.


Designs good Usability so a system can be used by users to achieve specified goals with effectiveness, efficiency and satisfaction across both digital and non-digital areas

Usability testing

Tests usability of systems to evaluate how real users use the system and measure of how fast a user can perform given tasks to test the efficiency and intuitiveness of the system.


Designs accessible system with ease of reach, use, understanding and high overall comprehensibility of the information and features to shorten the learning curve


Write communications documents, training documents, user requirements and functional specifications to detail features that need to be included in the product in order to meet the users' expectations.

Qualifications :


  • Experience in a Business System Analyst role

  • Bachelors degree preferred or equivalent plus 2 or more years technical experience or sufficient experience to demonstrate technical equivalency

  • Systems Testing and IT Implementation experience

  • Project Management experience

  • Total combined experience required: 3 or more years
