  • Monitors and reports on Technology Asset costs, risks and compliance.
  • Monitors and facilitates adequate stock levels to ensure request fulfillment in a timely manner.
  • Applies and executes standard information systems theories, concepts and techniques and assists in the development of standards and procedures, including technology asset governance.
  • Investigates alternatives, and makes recommendations. Responsible for handling exception request and applying business standards.
  • Manages small projects, directs and advises less experienced staff.
  • Influences technical and business direction. Responsible for compliance with applicable corporate policies and procedures. Helps manage and maintains productive relationships with peers, IT management, functional business areas and external partners.
  • Exercises latitude in the approach to problem solving and conflict resolution.
  • Perform work and make technical decisions with a high degree of independence (performance is judged by results obtained).
  • Works effectively with team/group to accomplish organizational goals. Actively participates in client or team meetings by offering suggestions and insights on how to improve Technology Asset systems and data quality. Provides leadership to project planning.
  • Determines approach and solution to problem when issue is within scope of own ability. Develops solutions to problems where casual relationships can be identified and precedents exist. Conducts training.
  • Applies analytical thinking skills to diagnose and make recommendations on systems.
  • Incorporates knowledge of business and technology to make recommendations.
  • Translates information gathered from Technology Asset Management (TAM) stakeholders into data analytics and system business requirements.
  • Identifies business/system needs and recommends technical solutions. Assists with the testing strategies and develops preliminary findings.
  • Aid in the systems development process, including planning & monitoring systems development efforts, coordinating activities within other groups, reviewing deliverables and communicating to management.
  • Understand customers' business objectives and system requirements and work closely with customers to determine their strategic information requirements and measure performance against expectations. Assist in customer resolution.
  • Define implementation activities and assign individual responsibilities; assume leadership role for implementation activities; coordinating implementation with other parts of the enterprise and provide routine status of activities to Project Mgr. or direct supervisor.

Qualifications

Basic:

  • Bachelor's Degree or plus 6+ years' experience, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • 2+ years or more experience with Service Asset and Configuration Management.
  • Knowledge and experience managing the full lifecycle of technology assets within an established CMDB including asset management reconciliation protocol.
  • 1 year or more experience in self-service portal use and support to include catalog management.
  • 2+ years of Technology Asset Management audit experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of regulations and standards affecting technology asset compliance.
  • Advanced knowledge in the use of the entire Microsoft Office suite and other common desktop applications.
  • Excellent Customer support skills, knowledge of logistics and strong problem solving skills.
  • Advanced knowledge in records keeping, statistical analysis, reporting and technology asset lifecycle.
  • Advanced knowledge of technology asset operating systems, application support including license and contract management.
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of process flow and technology asset inventory system functionality.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical skills and the ability to visualize, articulate, solve both complex and uncomplicated problems by making decisions that are sensible given the available information.
