Key responsibilities include:
  • Lead the development and execution of pricing and market access for Humira Rheumatology franchise
  • Monitor and track Rehumatology competitive environment and evolving market access trends to refine franchise strategies and tactics
  • Develop pricing and market access strategies to differentiate Humira vs. the competition (including biosimilars), and support Global Brand Teams in implementation
  • Ensure that Humira Market Access strategies include health economics and outcomes components by collaborating with HEOR and Medical Affairs to generate data consistent with affiliate needs
  • Support Areas and country affiliates on the development and execution of their market access, reimbursement and pricing tactics
  • Work collaboratively with Global Marketing, Areas and Country Affiliates, Medical Affairs, Health Economics and Outcomes Research, Clinical Development, BSD, Legal and Regulatory to ensure development and execution of effective reimbursement strategies
  • Provide GCD Rheumatology teams with market access assessment and pricing potential of new assets.
  • Developing and leading internal events and symposia designed to raise the overall organizational awareness and insights of the environmental changes ahead and implications that payers will increasingly have on the business
Qualifications Basic:
  • The candidate must have at least 5-7 years of progressive experience preferably in a variety of areas including market access, managed care marketing, payer support, marketing, pricing and reimbursement, and payer policy
  • Background in managed care, payer marketing, market access policy, or a related field is preferred
  • The candidate must be able to translate clinical and health economic data into meaningful marketing messages
  • Analyzing, understanding and translating clinical data, studies, publications of assigned products and competitors is required
  • The candidate must possess strong leadership, intrapersonal, critical thinking and analytical skills to work with a variety of groups in ensuring that the strategic direction for market access and pricing is in balance with the market as well as corporate goals
  • The candidate must be willing to work across products, both on market and near market in a variety of therapeutic areas, as needs dictate
  • The candidate must be sensitive to cultural and market differences as they will interact and travel to multiple countries in their role
  • This candidate must be comfortable in international markets, and have the ability to function in multinational and multicultural environments
  • This candidate must have strong presentation and writing skills
Education Requirements:
BA/BS Required. MBA, MS, Pharm D, or other advanced degree preferred.
