Intern - Cost Accounting

Value to the Intern:
Intern will be able to learn how a finance team works during the month end and quarter end close. The intern will assist in the Company's 2019 budget cycle which will commence in Summer 2018. Intern's experience at PCYC will build their creativity and analytical skills.
Value to Pharmacyclics:
Review month end close package
Assist with monthly Actuals reporting to AbbVie Corporate
Assist with preparation of U.S. payroll and benefit assumptions for the 2019 budget
Review monthly LBE package
Support Financial Analysts with Department budget control and 2019 budget activities
Support in the Headcount consolidation process
Support in the Capital consolidation process
- Ad hoc FP&A projects as needed
Excellent organization and communication skills
- Microsoft Suite
Complete at least one year of university studies prior to internship start date
Be an active student in good standing at an accredited university
- Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or equivalent
Each Intern is expected to prepare a short presentation to their team to share what they have learned through their internship and how they hope their new knowledge will help them secure their future career. Presentations should be 10 - 15 minutes long and should include visual aid (posters or PowerPoint).
