General Position Summary/Purpose:

The IT Business Analyst Intern will be responsible for requirements analysis, documentation and testing of all systems across IT that are either built in-house or configured on the cloud. The intern will partner with IT Team Members to plan, test, and implement all system changes to ensure the solution conform to the desired quality standard. The role involves working on cross-functional projects as well as working on prioritized change requests.

Key Accountabilities / Core Job Responsibilities:

    Elicit business requirements, translate business requirements to functional requirements, create functional requirements specifications, and work with system developers to design the solution Develop Test Plan, Test Cases and User Acceptance Test Plan based on the functional specification Execute Test Cases of small to large sized projects Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Java and Selenium Web Driver Identify system defects and track defects in a Bug Tracking System Accountable for defect tracking, issue escalation, and verification of defects Participate in project planning and project health check reviews

Qualifications and Requirements:

    Business Analysis and/or Quality Assurance experience in the Information Technology field is preferred Can multi-task and manage multiple IT projects running in parallel working within a team or independently Knowledge of Selenium Web driver Excellent communication and documentation skills Strong attention to detail and well organized High quality and result oriented Self-starter and tenacious problem solver

Education Requirements:

    Complete at least one year of university studies prior to internship start date Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business, or related discipline Be an active student in good standing at an accredited university Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or equivalent
Final Presentation

Each Intern is expected to prepare a short presentation to their team to share what they have learned through their internship and how they hope their new knowledge will help them secure their future career. Presentations should be 10 - 15 minutes long and should include visual aid (posters or PowerPoint).
