Michael Major says we need to hear some stories, so I'll tell you his. Major is an entrepreneur. His Germantown company, Cambridge Major Laboratories, has done so well - averaging 30% annual growth lately - that it's not his: He sold it to an investor who aims to make it even bigger. Major stayed as CEO. He grew up in Poland under the Communists, not exactly enterprise's hotbed. Then again, neither has Milwaukee been famous for new ventures lately.
