Technology Could Assist With Treatment of Damaged Corneas, University of Sheffield Study

By mimicking structural features of the eye, researchers at Sheffield University have developed a new method for producing membranes to help graft stem cells onto the eye itself. The technology, described in the journal Acta Biomaterialia,has been designed to treat damage to the cornea, which is one of the major causes of blindness in the world.
