The Movember Foundation Aims to Raise One Million Dollars on #GivingTuesday
Proceeds Will Help Fund Current Men's Health Projects Along With the 50 Million Men Initiative Set To Debut in 2019
LOS ANGELES, Nov. 27, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- The Movember Foundation, the leading charity dedicated to changing the face of men's health in the United States and around the world, announced today its goal of raising one million dollars on #GivingTuesday. The proceeds will ensure the continued funding of research and support programs for prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention.
To help reach this goal, Movember is focusing on its Facebook Fundraiser efforts with 9,000 users actively raising donations for the Movember Foundation. Movember is one of the first global charitable organizations to implement a custom API integration, which allows its Movember.com Mo Space users to connect their Facebook fundraising efforts in a seamless experience.
In 2019, the Movember Foundation will debut its 50 Million Men initiative, which aims to improve the health of 50 million American men over the next five years through the release of an unprecedented set of digital health products. The free digital resources, programs and campaigns will prioritize prevention, early intervention and the empowerment of men to better self-manage their health.
