Sorenson Genomics, LLC Expands with Acquisition of Identigene's Advanced DNA Testing Services

SALT LAKE CITY & HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sorenson Genomics, a leading global provider of DNA testing services based in Salt Lake City, Utah, announced today it has acquired Identigene of Houston, Texas. Founded in 1993, Identigene was the first laboratory to perform commercial paternity testing and has provided forensic DNA casework and relatedness DNA testing services for 200,000 clients throughout the world. Identigene will retain its name and remain in its Houston facilities. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
