RAIN - A Tribute To The Beatles in Atlantic City to Benefit Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center at Jefferson Health

PHILADELPHIA, Oct. 30, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- RAIN – A Tribute To The Beatles presented by The B.A.C. Cancer Transportation Fund will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the release of The Beatles Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band by bringing its Broadway show to Atlantic City's Ovation Hall at Ocean Resort and Casino on Saturday, November 17. One hundred percent of the proceeds from ticket sales will benefit Jefferson Health's Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center and cancer research in Philadelphia.

The RAIN tribute offers Beatles fans something the original group never could: over two hours of hits from every era of the band's development. The show brings the Beatles discography to life through a combination of masterly musicianship, elaborate staging and multimedia content.

"We're thrilled to be bringing RAIN to Atlantic City to celebrate Sgt. Pepper's 50th anniversary," said Karen Knudsen, PhD, Enterprise Director of the NCI-Designated Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. "And those attending the show will help us expand our delivery of world-renowned cancer care throughout the Delaware Valley."

Together longer than the Beatles, the performers of RAIN have mastered every song, gesture and nuance of the Fab Four. The totally-live performance reproduces even the most complex Beatles tunes, including many songs the original group never attempted to play live. The centerpiece of the show is a track-by-track rendering of the iconic Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band album.

A fan who caught the show earlier this year summed it up this way: "They are the closest you're ever going to get to seeing, hearing and experiencing the music of the Beatles "live" and on stage," he said. "Spot-on perfection in their performance."

Presented by The B.A.C. Cancer Transportation Fund, the show benefits Jefferson Health's Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center (SKCC), one of only 70 institutions in the country recognized as a Designated Center by the National Cancer Institute. Ranked among the nation's Best Hospitals by U.S. News & World Report for cancer care, SKCC is dedicated to delivering advanced, personalized cancer care, made possible through research discoveries that lead to breakthroughs in detecting and treating cancer.
