Pet-First Business Announces Paw-Ternity Leave to Love Policy
ORLANDO, Fla., /PRNewswire/ -- Zesty Paws®, a leading provider of pet health supplements and grooming supplies, announced a new Paw-ternity time off and pet adoption policy as part of the company's ongoing commitment to healthier and happier lives for people and pets.
Zesty Paws® recognizes that pets are just as much a part of the family as any human counterpart. To acknowledge that, they have recently adopted a Paw-ternity leave policy which allows all eligible employees to take an extra day of paid time off each year to spend with their pets. It provides benefits to both the employee, who gets a day to relax with their four-legged friends, and for the pets who get some much-needed time with their parents.
Employees who choose to take advantage of the Paw-ternity policy are asked to take a picture of their pet and provide a short summary of how they spent their day with their pet. Both the picture and summary will be shared to brighten the days of other employees.
Zach Popovich, COO, Zesty Paws® said "an important element to our Paw-ternity leave policy is to acknowledge our commitment to rescue and adoption. We believe every animal deserves a loving home, and we strive to do our part to encourage this as devoted pet-parents."
In addition to time off for current fur-friends, Zesty Paws® also supports employees who adopt or rescue a pet by offering an additional paid day off, and will pay 50 percent towards any new pet adoption and rescue fees. This policy is meant to encourage responsible pet care and practices, as well as spread the warmth that pet parenthood can bring. Pets mean the world to their owners. They're loving, they're loyal, and they're family. So, it's only right that everyone does their part to reward pets for their love and companionship with safe and loving homes.
Zesty Paws® is committed to encouraging wellness by providing premium products that help people and pets live their happiest lives. Zesty Paws® strives to be the most trusted brand for innovative solutions that guide and empower the journey to wellness.
