Pathfinder Therapeutics and NeuroLogica Corporation. Announce Technology Integration to Improve Outcomes

NASHVILLE, Tenn. & DANVERS, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Pathfinder Therapeutics, the developer of computer-assisted surgical navigation products for soft tissue organs, and NeuroLogica Corp., the manufacturer of portable CT imaging devices, announced today an agreement to integrate their innovative technologies. In use at top cancer centers in the US, the Pathfinder’s Explorer™ system was designed to improve visualization for more precise liver cancer procedures. For its real-time tracking capabilities, Explorer™ has relied on pre-operative CT images and intra-operative ultrasound to assist in mapping the patient’s anatomy during surgery. However, by utilizing NeuroLogica’s BodyTom®, the world’s first portable and intra-operative 32-slice, full body CT scanner, surgeons using Explorer will have the ability to navigate in surgery with the most updated anatomical information available to further improve patient outcomes and surgical accuracy. NeuroLogica’s Global Vice President of Sales and Marketing, David Webster, recognized this marriage of technologies as the next step in effective surgical treatment in soft tissue cancer procedures.
