Osmotica Pharmaceutical to Create 156 Jobs in Georgia

A Wilmington, N.C.-based global pharmaceutical company plans to spend $20 million and create 156 jobs over the next five years by opening a research, development and manufacturing operation at the former Solvay site off of Sawyer Road on the east side of Interstate 75 in Marietta. Gov. Nathan Deal and a host of dignitaries welcomed Forrest Waldon, president and CEO of Osmotica Pharmaceutical, as they made the announcement at the site Thursday morning. Waldon said a combination of factors led to his decision to locate in Marietta, including the facility, an educated workforce and tax incentives.
