New Study Demonstrates High Efficacy of HumanN's BeetElite for HIIT Training

AUSTIN, Texas, Sept. 19, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- A new study on BeetElite, an endurance superfood from HumanN, has found that taking the product allows cycling participants to recover quicker between high intensity training intervals, and work out 17.9% longer.

The randomized, double-blind, cross-over matched pair study was conducted by Exercising Nutritionally LLC and led by its Founder and CEO, Craig Broeder Ph.D. FACSM, FNAASO. Eight subjects completed the study and they ranged from ages 18 to 55. Each participant went through one high intensity interval training (HIIT) round that consisted of 75 seconds of cycling at near-max effort, followed by a two minute recovery interval at 50% effort.

Participants were encouraged to complete as many interval rounds as they could. When using BeetElite, participants finished an average of 8.14 rounds at 32.2 km/hour, compared to the average of 7.00 rounds at 31.4 km/hour when using placebo. Additionally, while on BeetElite, cyclists were able to maintain a significantly faster cadence by 2.0%, maintaining same target workload during the entire HIIT treatment sessions compared to placebo. The average time to exhaustion when using BeetElite was over 24.5 minutes, compared to under 21 minutes on the placebo. The total distance covered during the HIIT exercise was 13.5 km when using BeetElite, while placebo use resulted in an average distance of only 10.9 km.

BeetElite is formulated based on patents licensed from the University of Texas Health Science Center. It works to promote extended exercise endurance, increase oxygen delivery and improve energy with just four ounces of superfood formula, which can be compared to the equivalent of 32 oz. of beet juice. To date, HumanN has completed ten clinical trials and has licensed seven U.S patents, including BeetElite, from the University of Texas Health Science Center on their industry-leading functional foods and supplements. HumanN was also the recipient of the Nutrition Business Journal Science Award in 2017 for its dedication to science in the field of nutrition.

This study marks the continued commitment of HumanN, industry leader in functional food and nutritional supplements for whole body health, to help humans across all phases of life strive for and achieve their greatest potential.
