Janssen Pharmaceutica N.V. Completes Divestiture of Animal Health Business to Elanco, a Division of Eli Lilly and Company

BEERSE, Belgium, July 7, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Janssen Pharmaceutica NV, part of the Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies, today announced it has completed the divestiture of its Animal Health business to Elanco, a Division of Eli Lilly and Company. Financial terms of the transaction are not being disclosed.

Under the terms of the transaction, Elanco acquires products, contracts and related intellectual property and marketing authorizations. The terms of the offer also include that the employees, active in 11 different countries, transfer to Elanco to support a significantly expanded portfolio of products.
