Hitachi, Ltd. And University of Tokyo Co-Develop Contrast Agent Technology For Ultra-sonic Diagnostic Equipment

Tokyo, July 19, 2006 (JCN) - Hitachi's Central Research Laboratory and Schools of Engineering and Medicine, University of Tokyo, have jointly developed a contrast agent technology for ultra-sonic diagnostic equipment. The technology transforms contrast agents made of nano-sized droplets into micron-sized bubbles that emanate reflected signals required to obtain tumor tissue images.
